About CodingGyan
CodingGyan is a free place to learn programming by solving problems. Every problem has a clear statement, examples, hints, and solutions in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript and Python. Most problems show more than one approach, so you can see both a simple solution and an efficient one.
How to learn with CodingGyan
- Pick a topic and start with the Beginner level.
- Read the problem and try to solve it yourself first.
- Open the solution, read the explanation, and compare it with your own idea.
- Use the language tabs to see the same idea in another language.
- Select "Mark as done" to track your progress.
No account is needed. Your progress is stored in your browser on this device and is never sent to a server.
How the solutions are written
- Comments are numbered steps (Step 1, Step 2, and so on) in plain English.
- Names are meaningful, and every solution is a complete program that reads its input and prints the answer.
- Each Java solution shows the Java versions it works in (8, 10, 17, 21 and 25). When a program uses only basic features, such as a simple Hello World, the same code works in every version.
- Solutions for JavaScript, TypeScript and Python show the lowest version they need.
